Launching a new business with confidence and clarity with reiki practitioner Bright Raven Holistica

It was an absolute delight to photograph reiki practitioner Lhysa Mangobean of Bright Raven Holistica in the Springtime. Lhysa wanted the images to mark her entrance into a new era in business and it seems that photographing in the energy of the emergence of Spring after a cold Winter was perfect timing.

Lhysa came to me with a sense of how the images should feel and what they should represent and trusted in our collaboration to be able to produce what she had in her mind’s eye. We utilised a moodboard on Pinterest and her planning call to ensure we were on the same page creatively and whilst we had an idea on the day of what we needed to capture, we allowed ideas to flow and worked together to achieve the final gallery.

The brief:

Lhysa wanted to create a library of images to support her presence on social media and to feature on her new website. It was important to Lhasa to capture not only her practice but a sense of her personality and the things she values such as a connection to nature.

Location:

Lhysa wanted to feature her beautiful space from which she practises as it is imbued with intention from the pieces featured throughout to the gorgeous copper wall. To achieve a sense of connection to Mother Earth and spirituality, we chose to also photograph along the Murray River where we could layer the images with the symbolism of nature, water and the moon. We photographed into ‘blue hour’ to further enhance the sense of mysticism.

Finer details:

Lhysa chose a two hour package which allowed us to capture a variety of elements of her practice and personal brand. Photographing in multiple locations allowed us to give her dream clients a sense of not only the feel of her workspace but Lhysa’s personality and approach.

Lhysa’s response to her images:

“Love your work, Goddess!!! I am quietly completely delighted & thrilled!”
