About me - Marcella.
Hi, I'm Marcella — the founder of Sunday Muse Studio.
I started this business because I know so many women who are brilliant at what they do and still find it hard to take up space and be seen. I get it. There's a quiet fear of looking "up yourself," of putting your face and your work out there and hoping it lands.
But you can be excellent at what you do and humble — and you're allowed to be proud of what you've built. That's the whole point of what we do. When your photos and video actually reflect the quality of your work, showing up stops feeling like showing off. You second-guess yourself less. The right clients start to find you.
I care about doing things well and making the experience genuinely lovely — for you and for whoever's in front of the camera. Strategy underneath, warmth on the day and visuals that go out and work hard for you long after we've wrapped.

Fun facts about me…
I have a psychology degree
I'm endlessly curious about people — why we do what we do, what we're really trying to say. It's why I love understanding your business story and I think it’s why the people I photograph tend to relax faster than they expect to. Everyone has a story worth telling well, if you take the time to listen.
I wanted to be a lawyer
I loved the idea of being a high-powered criminal lawyer creating dramatic scenes in the courtroom. Then I grew up and realised the reality was less Hollywood and a lot more paperwork. Turns out I just really love being organised — I'm the one who's quietly delighted by a good shot list and an inbox at zero. That's the same energy I bring to every shoot: a proper plan, clear communication and no surprises.
I once sold everything I owned
In 2018 I quit my secure, well-paying government job because it was making me unhappy and exhausted. I sold all of my furniture, donated nearly all of my clothes and spent the summer travelling the east coast of Australia to work out my next step. Building Sunday Muse was the answer — and it's still the best decision I've made.
