How to create personal branding photography that stands out.
I loved working with the insanely talented Lauren of Curva the Salon to capture her salon revamp. Lauren is an amazing content creator in her own right but she asked me to ‘capture what she couldn’t’ with her phone. Lauren loves crafting an experience for her clients from their colour and style right through to the way they feel when they walk through her door and the little details. She wanted her photography to highlight the level of intention that goes into everything she does.
The brief:
Create an image library for socials that focusses on how clients can expect to feel when they walk through the door. This included highlighting the features of the space, the textures and palette as well as the sensory experience of having your hair lovingly washed, coloured and styled. Lauren wanted something more than just stock standard photos of her doing her thing - she wanted to speak to the luxuriousness of what she offers.
Location:
We photographed in Lauren’s newly revamped space with a focus on capturing textures, palette and light. We focussed on Lauren and Shania moving through the space to complement the images focussed on texture and movement.
Finer details:
This session was photographed as part of my Business Glow Up package. This is a package that I offer at the start of each year to businesses who want to keep their content updated all year round. It includes two sessions spread out across the year on a subscription basis - meaning monthly payments which is fab for cashflow. We also added video content to this session following the same brief to maximise the content’s reach.
Lauren’s response to her images:
“My QUEEN it’s been a bloody pleasure! Thank you for capturing what I couldn’t and i’m so thankful for the connection we’ve made this year.”
