Extended family portrait session on Eastern Hill, Albury NSW

Extended families are my favourite to photograph. I grew up in a big family so I feel right at home amongst the chaos. This session took place just after Christmas, when all the family were in the same place. We were able to capture the individual family groups as well as everyone together with enough time for some playful portraits of the cousins.

Eastern Hill is a great location for families with young children because we’ve got the whole hill on which to roam. The hill is also perfect for capturing varied backdrops - there’s trees, beautiful, long grass, open sky, Monument hill to the west and the weir to the east. It’s also easy to access with limited mobility restraints and the kids love the open space.
